Prior to FM Tennis, Chris was Tennis Pro for over three years at The Woodlands Athletic Club (The Woodlands, Texas), and before that Head Pro at the Springfield Racquet and Fitness Center (Springfield, Illinois). Besides serving as a club pro, Chris competed at USTA tournaments. His most remarkable victories were the Second Annual Napoleon Open, Champaign Open, Springfield Open and the finals at Kansas City Open. 

In college, Chris competed for University of Idaho, NCAA Division 1 school. While at Idaho, Chris was the captain of his tennis team and received the Doubles Most Valuable Player Award two years in a row.

As a junior, Chris was ranked as high as #2 in USTA Pacific Northwest Section and in the Top 150 in the US. He graduated from an elite private high school - Weil Tennis & Preparatory Academy in Ojai, California. At Weil, Chris accomplished the prestigious Wild Diamond Award for Academic Achievements.
